Description

Spicy Roasted Jalapeño Cowboy Cream Cheese Dip is a bold, smoky, and creamy BBQ-inspired appetizer. Roasted jalapeños are blended with cream cheese, sour cream, and spices, then swirled with BBQ sauce for a perfect balance of heat, tang, and sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 3 large jalapeños, roasted
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) sour cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste (start with 1/2 tsp salt)

Instructions

  1. Roast jalapeños over open flame, oven, or broiler until skins are charred. Peel and finely chop.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, lime juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Fold in chopped roasted jalapeños evenly.
  4. Spread mixture into a serving dish.
  5. Drizzle BBQ sauce on top and gently swirl using a spoon or knife for a marbled effect.
  6. Chill for 15–30 minutes for best flavor, or serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust jalapeños for more or less heat.
  • Add shredded cheddar for extra richness.
  • Great served with tortilla chips, crackers, or toasted bread.
  • For smokier flavor, use a hickory BBQ sauce.
