Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups soft caramel candies, chopped into small pieces
- Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and fine sea salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chopped caramel pieces.
- Scoop dough into balls and place on baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10โ12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Immediately sprinkle with flaky sea salt after baking.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Chill dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
- Use soft caramel candies so they melt properly.
