This Savory Garlic Parmesan Baked Halibut is a rich, buttery, and elegant seafood dish. Tender halibut fillets are topped with a creamy garlic-Parmesan mixture and baked until golden and flaky for a restaurant-quality meal at home.


Ingredients

  • For the Fish:
  • 2 halibut fillets (about 1 inch thick)
  • For the Topping:
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 2 tbsp green onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 dash Tabasco
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Pat halibut fillets dry and place them in a lightly greased baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix butter, mayonnaise, Parmesan, green onion, garlic, Tabasco, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly over the top of each halibut fillet.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes until fish is opaque and flakes easily.
  6. Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes for a golden top.
  7. Serve immediately with lemon wedges or fresh herbs.
