Description

These Oven-Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey are crispy, golden phyllo pastries filled with creamy feta and ricotta cheese, then baked until crunchy and drizzled with sweet and spicy chili honey. A perfect appetizer or party snack.


Ingredients

  • For the Rolls:
  • 8 oz feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (optional)
  • 6 sheets phyllo pastry (cut into 12 strips)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or olive oil (for brushing)
  • For the Chili Honey:
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (adjust to taste)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix feta, ricotta, and thyme until combined.
  3. Place a strip of phyllo dough on a flat surface and brush lightly with butter or oil.
  4. Add a spoonful of cheese mixture and roll tightly into a cigar shape. Repeat with remaining sheets.
  5. Place rolls on baking tray and brush tops with more butter or oil.
  6. Bake for 20โ€“25 minutes or until golden and crisp.
  7. For chili honey: warm honey slightly and stir in chili flakes.
  8. Drizzle chili honey over warm rolls and serve immediately.
