Description
These Oven-Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey are crispy, golden phyllo pastries filled with creamy feta and ricotta cheese, then baked until crunchy and drizzled with sweet and spicy chili honey. A perfect appetizer or party snack.
Ingredients
- For the Rolls:
- 8 oz feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (optional)
- 6 sheets phyllo pastry (cut into 12 strips)
- 1/4 cup melted butter or olive oil (for brushing)
- For the Chili Honey:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix feta, ricotta, and thyme until combined.
- Place a strip of phyllo dough on a flat surface and brush lightly with butter or oil.
- Add a spoonful of cheese mixture and roll tightly into a cigar shape. Repeat with remaining sheets.
- Place rolls on baking tray and brush tops with more butter or oil.
- Bake for 20โ25 minutes or until golden and crisp.
- For chili honey: warm honey slightly and stir in chili flakes.
- Drizzle chili honey over warm rolls and serve immediately.
