This One Pot Cajun Chicken Alfredo Orzo is a creamy, spicy, and comforting dish packed with bold Cajun flavors. Tender chicken, orzo pasta, and vegetables are simmered in a rich Parmesan cream sauce for a quick and flavorful weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
- 2 cups spinach
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with Cajun seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic and bell peppers for 2–3 minutes.
- Add orzo and stir for 1 minute to lightly toast.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, then bring to a simmer.
- Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring often, until orzo is tender and sauce thickens.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, spinach, and cooked chicken.
- Mix until spinach wilts and everything is creamy and combined. Serve warm.
Notes
- Adjust Cajun seasoning for more or less spice.
- Add extra cream or broth if sauce becomes too thick.
- Best served fresh but reheats well with a splash of broth.
