Description

This One Pot Cajun Chicken Alfredo Orzo is a creamy, spicy, and comforting dish packed with bold Cajun flavors. Tender chicken, orzo pasta, and vegetables are simmered in a rich Parmesan cream sauce for a quick and flavorful weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté garlic and bell peppers for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add orzo and stir for 1 minute to lightly toast.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, then bring to a simmer.
  6. Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring often, until orzo is tender and sauce thickens.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese, spinach, and cooked chicken.
  8. Mix until spinach wilts and everything is creamy and combined. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning for more or less spice.
  • Add extra cream or broth if sauce becomes too thick.
  • Best served fresh but reheats well with a splash of broth.
