Description
Chicken Pillows are soft, cheesy, and deliciously comforting pockets filled with shredded chicken and cream cheese, baked to golden perfection and served with creamy gravy.
Ingredients
Pillows:
- 10 ounces cooked, shredded chicken (about 2 cups)
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 Tablespoon salted butter, softened
- 1/2 Tablespoon dried chives
- 1/2 Tablespoon dried minced onion
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 can (8 ounces) Pillsbury crescent roll dough
- 1/4 cup salted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
Gravy:
- 1 can (10 ounces) cream of chicken soup
- 1 packet (1 ounce) chicken gravy mix
- 3/4 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, 1 Tbsp butter, chives, minced onion, salt, and pepper.
- Unroll crescent roll dough and cut into squares. Place a spoonful of chicken mixture in each square, fold over, and seal edges.
- Brush melted butter over tops and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
- Bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, prepare gravy: whisk cream of chicken soup, gravy mix, and water in a saucepan over medium heat until smooth and heated through.
- Serve Chicken Pillows hot with creamy gravy on the side.
Notes
- Use fresh or leftover cooked chicken for convenience.
- Optional: add a pinch of paprika or cayenne for a little heat.
- Gravy can be prepared ahead of time and reheated.
