Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of BEEF shoulder, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar
  • 3-4 fresh jalapenos, finely chopped (adjust based on your heat preference)
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef cubes and sear on all sides until browned.

  3. Pour the sauce over the seared beef and stir to coat.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 25โ€“30 minutes, or until beef is tender and sauce has thickened slightly.
  5. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with steamed rice or vegetables.
