Description
A warm, gooey snickerdoodle cobbler with a soft, spiced base and a sweet cinnamon-sugar topping. Perfect for dessert lovers craving cinnamon goodness.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
Topping:
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and 2 tsp cinnamon until smooth.
- Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and hot water. Pour evenly over the batter. Do not stir.
- Bake for 35โ40 minutes until the top is golden and set.
- Mix topping sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over warm cobbler before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- Can substitute milk with plant-based milk for a dairy-free version.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and gently reheated before serving.
