Ingredients
- For the Base:
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- For the Filling:
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
- For the Topping:
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, granulated sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the batter and pour hot water gently on top without stirring.
- Bake for 35โ40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- While still warm, sprinkle the topping sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly over the cobbler. Serve warm.

- For extra gooeyness, let the cobbler sit for 10 minutes before serving.
