Ingredients

  • For the Base:
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • For the Filling:
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • For the Topping:
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, granulated sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the batter and pour hot water gently on top without stirring.
  5. Bake for 35โ€“40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. While still warm, sprinkle the topping sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly over the cobbler. Serve warm.
