Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread, cubed (about 8 cups)
- 1 ยฝ cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 8 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Optional toppings: powdered sugar, maple syrup, fresh strawberries, whipped cream
Instructions
- Grease the slow cooker with butter or nonstick spray.
- Layer half of the bread cubes in the bottom of the slow cooker, then sprinkle half of the sliced strawberries over the bread.
- Repeat with remaining bread and strawberries.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and strawberries, pressing down slightly to soak the bread.
- Cover and cook on low for 3โ4 hours, or until the custard is set and bread is tender.
