Description

These Samoa (Caramel Delite) Rice Krispie Treats are a decadent dessert layering crispy cereal with gooey caramel, shredded coconut, and milk chocolate for a sweet, chewy, and crunchy treat.


Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 5 cups mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Caramel Crunch cereal
  • 11 oz bag of caramels
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
  • 3 cups milk chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and fold in Caramel Crunch cereal until evenly coated. Press mixture into a greased 9×13-inch pan. Set aside.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt caramels with heavy cream over low heat until smooth. Stir in shredded coconut.
  4. Spread the caramel-coconut mixture evenly over the rice krispie layer.
  5. Melt milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Drizzle melted chocolate over the caramel-coconut layer. Let cool completely before slicing into squares.
