Description

Potsticker Stir Fry is a quick and flavorful dish featuring crispy-tender potstickers with fresh vegetables and a tangy, savory sauce. Perfect for an easy weeknight dinner packed with flavor and texture.

Ingredients

  • 10โ€“12 frozen potstickers or gyoza (do not thaw)
  • ยผ cup water
  • 4โ€“5 white button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 20 green beans, sliced into thirds
  • 1 large carrot, sliced thin on a bias
  • ยผ cup small diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish
  • For the sauce: ยผ cup reduced-sodium soy sauce, ยผ cup rice wine vinegar, 1 tablespoon sugar or honey, 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, 1 tablespoon cold water

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sugar or honey, and grated ginger. In another small bowl, mix cornstarch and cold water to form a slurry. Set aside.
  2. Heat sesame oil and olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add frozen potstickers and ยผ cup water. Cover and steam for 4โ€“5 minutes until heated through and slightly tender.
  4. Add mushrooms, broccoli, green beans, carrot, and onion to the skillet. Stir-fry for 4โ€“5 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce mixture and cornstarch slurry. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens and coats the potstickers and vegetables evenly.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Do not thaw potstickers; cooking from frozen prevents them from becoming soggy.
  • Adjust vegetables based on preference or seasonal availability.
  • Serve over rice or noodles for a more filling meal.
