Ingredients
- 1 chicken breast, skinless
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 4 boneless pieces (chicken or additional breasts)
- 1 cup milk, gradually whisked in
- 1/4 tsp salt (for sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- Season chicken with oregano, cayenne, black pepper, red pepper flakes, salt, and cumin.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5โ7 minutes per side. Remove from heat.
- In a saucepan, gradually whisk milk with 1/4 tsp salt over medium heat until smooth. Add cheese or seasoning if desired to make a creamy sauce.
- Pour cheese sauce over cooked chicken and transfer to a baking dish.
- Bake for 10โ15 minutes to combine flavors and heat through. Serve warm.
