Ingredients

  • 1 chicken breast, skinless
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 4 boneless pieces (chicken or additional breasts)
  • 1 cup milk, gradually whisked in
  • 1/4 tsp salt (for sauce)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  2. Season chicken with oregano, cayenne, black pepper, red pepper flakes, salt, and cumin.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5โ€“7 minutes per side. Remove from heat.
  4. In a saucepan, gradually whisk milk with 1/4 tsp salt over medium heat until smooth. Add cheese or seasoning if desired to make a creamy sauce.
  5. Pour cheese sauce over cooked chicken and transfer to a baking dish.
  6. Bake for 10โ€“15 minutes to combine flavors and heat through. Serve warm.
