These Keto Meatballs are super cheesy and pizzeria-style, combining ground beef, Italian sausage, and rich cheeses for a low-carb, flavorful meal.
Ingredients
- 16 oz ground beef (85/15)
- 16 oz Italian sausage, ground
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
- 14 oz pizza sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, grated (for topping)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Italian sausage, eggs, salt, pepper, onion powder, and Parmesan cheese. Mix until evenly combined.
- Form mixture into meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, and place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake meatballs for 15โ20 minutes, until cooked through.
- Meanwhile, mix pizza sauce and tomato paste in a small bowl.
- Remove meatballs from oven and top each with sauce and shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Return to oven for 5โ7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve warm.
Notes
- Can be served with zucchini noodles, cauliflower rice, or a side salad for a complete keto-friendly meal.
- Make ahead and freeze the meatballs for later use.
