Description

These Keto Meatballs are super cheesy and pizzeria-style, combining ground beef, Italian sausage, and rich cheeses for a low-carb, flavorful meal.


Ingredients

  • 16 oz ground beef (85/15)
  • 16 oz Italian sausage, ground
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 14 oz pizza sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, grated (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Italian sausage, eggs, salt, pepper, onion powder, and Parmesan cheese. Mix until evenly combined.
  3. Form mixture into meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, and place on prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake meatballs for 15โ€“20 minutes, until cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, mix pizza sauce and tomato paste in a small bowl.
  6. Remove meatballs from oven and top each with sauce and shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Return to oven for 5โ€“7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Can be served with zucchini noodles, cauliflower rice, or a side salad for a complete keto-friendly meal.
