Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks / 227 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups (300 g) light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups (312.5 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- Confectionersโ sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs, molasses, and vanilla extract; mix until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until combined.
- Pour batter into prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25โ30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow brownies to cool completely, then dust with confectionersโ sugar before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sprinkle a bit of ground nutmeg or cloves into the batter.
