Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup long-grain white rice (uncooked)
- 1 packet French onion soup mix
- 2 cups beef broth
- ยฝ cup sour cream
- 1 ยฝ cups shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese
- ยฝ cup French-fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in uncooked rice, French onion soup mix, and beef broth.
- Bring to a gentle simmer, then transfer mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Cover tightly with foil and bake for 30โ35 minutes, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from oven and stir in sour cream.
