Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cups cooked white rice
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed French onion soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add butter, onion powder, and garlic powder to the beef and stir to combine.
- In a large bowl, mix cooked rice, French onion soup, sour cream, and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Fold in the cooked ground beef mixture.
- Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 25โ30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- Use cooked rice from a previous meal or freshly cooked rice for best results.
- You can substitute mozzarella with cheddar or a cheese blend of your choice.
