Description
Easy Doritos Taco Salad is a fun and crunchy family-friendly meal. Layers of seasoned ground beef, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and tortilla chips are topped with Catalina dressing for a quick, flavorful dinner or lunch.
Ingredients
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, finely shredded
- 1 bottle Catalina dressing (16 ounces)
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped (optional)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, cooked and drained
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or 3 tablespoons homemade)
- 15.5 oz bag nacho cheese tortilla chips, crushed
Instructions
- Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning.
- In a large salad bowl, layer shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped onion (if using), and cooked seasoned beef.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Just before serving, add crushed Doritos or tortilla chips and drizzle Catalina dressing evenly.
- Toss gently and serve immediately to maintain crunch.

- For a spicier salad, add jalapeรฑos or hot sauce.
- You can prepare the meat and vegetables ahead of time and assemble just before serving.
