These Easy Churro Saltine Toffee Bars are a sweet, crunchy treat with a creamy filling. Coated with cinnamon sugar, theyโre perfect for dessert or a fun snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 sleeve saltine crackers
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line a baking pan with parchment paper and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in brown sugar. Bring to a gentle boil for 2โ3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the saltines.
- Bake for 5โ7 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
- Mix powdered sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract with heavy cream to make a creamy topping.
- Spread the creamy mixture over the cooled toffee bars and let set completely.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- Use salted or unsalted crackers according to preference.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Optional: sprinkle extra cinnamon sugar on top for a stronger flavor.
