Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line a baking pan with parchment paper and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in brown sugar. Bring to a gentle boil for 2โ€“3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the saltines.
  4. Bake for 5โ€“7 minutes until bubbly.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  6. Mix powdered sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract with heavy cream to make a creamy topping.
  7. Spread the creamy mixture over the cooled toffee bars and let set completely.
  8. Cut into squares and serve.
