Description
Crispy Baked Chicken Tenders are a healthier, oven-baked alternative to fried chicken. Coated in seasoned breadcrumbs and Parmesan, these tenders are golden, crunchy, and perfect for dipping.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breasts or chicken tenders, cut into strips
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs or regular breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Olive oil spray for coating
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.
- In one bowl, beat the eggs. In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken strip into the eggs, then coat evenly with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place coated chicken strips on the prepared baking sheet and lightly spray with olive oil.
- Bake for 15โ20 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and chicken is cooked through.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, broil the chicken for the last 2โ3 minutes.
- Substitute panko with regular breadcrumbs if needed.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 2 days and reheated in the oven for best results.
