Description
Creamy Ranch Chicken Breasts are tender and flavorful. Chicken breasts are seared and baked in a rich sauce made with ranch seasoning, sour cream, milk, and cream of chicken soup for a comforting, easy dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable/canola oil
- 1 oz packet Ranch seasoning mix (about 3 tablespoons)
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 1 cup sour cream, room temperature
- 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season chicken with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat melted butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and place in a baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together ranch seasoning, milk, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, and onion powder until smooth.
- Pour sauce over chicken in the baking dish.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until chicken is cooked through and sauce is bubbly.
- Serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker version.
- Optional: add vegetables like broccoli or green beans to the baking dish for a complete meal.
- Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
