Description

Creamy Chicken Pasta is a rich and flavorful pasta dish with tender chicken, a creamy garlic-cheese sauce, and a hint of lemon. Perfect for a cozy dinner or special occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 large boneless skinless chicken breast
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • ยผ cup flour
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ยฝ cup dry white wine (optional)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 ยผ cups half and half (half light cream, half milk)
  • ยพ cups chicken broth
  • ยฝ chicken bouillon cube
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/3 cup Romano cheese, grated
  • ยฝ lb pasta, any kind
  • 1 cup pasta water (optional)
  • 1 lemon (optional)
  • ยฝ tsp each: onion powder, garlic salt, oregano, basil, mustard powder, parsley (all dried)
  • 1/8 tsp smoked paprika


Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Coat lightly with ยผ cup flour.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and slice.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sautรฉ garlic until fragrant.
  4. Sprinkle 3 tbsp flour over butter and garlic; cook 1 minute while stirring.
  5. Add half and half, chicken broth, and bouillon cube, whisking until smooth and slightly thickened.
  6. Stir in Parmesan, Romano, and all dried seasonings along with smoked paprika. Adjust sauce with pasta water if needed.
  7. Cook pasta according to package instructions and drain. Toss pasta in sauce, then top with sliced chicken. Add a squeeze of lemon if desired.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use all heavy cream instead of half-and-half.
  • Optional: sprinkle extra cheese on top before serving.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days.
