Description

Classic Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa is an easy, comforting dish that layers cheddar pierogies and sliced kielbasa with a rich cheese sauce, perfect for a hearty family meal.


Ingredients

  • 3 packages Mrs. T’s cheddar pierogies
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1 cup chicken broth (for cheese sauce)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for cheese sauce)


Instructions

  1. In a crockpot, layer pierogies and sliced kielbasa.
  2. In a saucepan, melt cream cheese with 1 cup chicken broth, stirring until smooth. Add 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted to make the cheese sauce.
  3. Pour cheese sauce over pierogies and kielbasa in the crockpot.
  4. Top with remaining cheddar cheese, season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook on low for 2–3 hours until pierogies are tender and casserole is heated through. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use pre-cooked kielbasa to save time.
  • You can substitute cheddar pierogies with potato or other flavored pierogies.
  • Leftovers store well in the fridge for 2–3 days.
