Classic Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa is an easy, comforting dish that layers cheddar pierogies and sliced kielbasa with a rich cheese sauce, perfect for a hearty family meal.
Ingredients
- 3 packages Mrs. T’s cheddar pierogies
- 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese
- 1 cup chicken broth (for cheese sauce)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for cheese sauce)
Instructions
- In a crockpot, layer pierogies and sliced kielbasa.
- In a saucepan, melt cream cheese with 1 cup chicken broth, stirring until smooth. Add 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted to make the cheese sauce.
- Pour cheese sauce over pierogies and kielbasa in the crockpot.
- Top with remaining cheddar cheese, season with salt and pepper.
- Cook on low for 2–3 hours until pierogies are tender and casserole is heated through. Serve warm.
Notes
- Use pre-cooked kielbasa to save time.
- You can substitute cheddar pierogies with potato or other flavored pierogies.
- Leftovers store well in the fridge for 2–3 days.
