Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup festive sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and nuts (if using). Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
- Bake 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Sprinkle festive sprinkles on top while warm.
- Cool completely, cut into bars, and serve.
