- 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken (rotisserie or leftover works best)

- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley

- ยฝ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 package crescent roll dough
- ยฝ cup Panko breadcrumbs (optional for crunch)
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Creamy Parmesan Sauce
- 4 tbsp butter
- ยผ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- ยฝ cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ยฝ tsp garlic powder
- ยฝ tsp salt
- ยผ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, pepper, and melted butter for the filling.
- Unroll crescent dough and cut into rectangles. Spoon chicken mixture onto each rectangle.
- Fold dough over the filling and seal edges with a fork. Brush each pillow with beaten egg and sprinkle with Panko breadcrumbs if desired.
- Bake for 15โ18 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
- For the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour to form a roux, cook 1โ2 minutes.
- Slowly whisk in milk and cream until smooth and thickened. Stir in Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
- Serve chicken pillows warm, drizzled with creamy Parmesan sauce.
