This Chicken Crust Pizza is a game-changer! A low-carb crust made entirely from ground chicken, Parmesan, and egg, topped with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and basil. Perfect for pizza night without the extra carbs!
Ingredients
- For the crust:
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Toppings:
- 1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce
- 4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine ground chicken, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Press the chicken mixture into a thin, even crust on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the crust for 15–20 minutes until firm and lightly golden.
- Remove from oven and spread marinara sauce over the crust.
- Top with mozzarella slices and tomato slices.
- Bake an additional 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve warm.
Notes
- Pat the crust dry with paper towels if it releases moisture before baking.
- Optional: add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
