Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves or chopped parsley
- 1/3 cup hot pepper jelly
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and garlic powder. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cheddar and cream cheese until dough comes together. Fold in thyme or parsley.
- Roll dough into small balls and place on the prepared baking sheet. Press your thumb into the center to create a well.
- Fill each thumbprint with a small amount of hot pepper jelly.
- Bake for 15โ18 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool slightly before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Use sharp cheddar for a stronger cheesy flavor.
- These can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container for a few days.
