Description
Cheeseburger Hot Pockets are a fun and indulgent twist on a classic cheeseburger, with seasoned ground beef, onions, bell peppers, and gooey cheddar cheese all wrapped in a flaky pie crust.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- ยฝ cup chopped onion
- ยฝ cup chopped bell pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- ยฝ tsp black pepper
- ยฝ tsp paprika
- ยผ tsp dried oregano
- ยผ tsp dried basil
- ยผ tsp dried thyme
- ยผ tsp onion powder
- ยผ tsp garlic powder
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, onion, bell pepper, and garlic until beef is fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, oregano, basil, thyme, onion powder, and garlic powder. Stir well.
- Roll out pie crusts and cut into squares or rectangles. Place a portion of beef mixture and shredded cheddar cheese on each square.
- Fold dough over filling to form pockets and seal edges with a fork. Brush each with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20โ25 minutes until golden brown and flaky. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add pickles or a little mustard inside for a classic cheeseburger flavor.
- These hot pockets are great for meal prep or kidsโ lunches.
- Can be frozen before baking and cooked directly from frozen, adding 5โ10 minutes to bake time.
