Description

A comforting chicken casserole topped with Cheddar Bay Biscuits, loaded with vegetables, creamy sauce, and shredded cheddar cheese. Perfect for family dinners!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 packet Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix (plus ingredients listed on packet)
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven according to Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, mixed vegetables, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, black pepper, chicken broth, and 1 cup milk. Mix well.
  3. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. Prepare Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix as directed on packet, adding 1/2 cup milk and any other ingredients per instructions.
  5. Drop biscuit dough evenly over chicken mixture. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and drizzle with melted butter.
  6. Bake according to biscuit mix instructions until biscuits are golden and casserole is bubbly, about 20โ€“25 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.
