Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken sausage
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups orzo pasta
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ยฝ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken sausage until browned and cooked through, about 5โ7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sautรฉ garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add orzo pasta, chicken broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer and cook for 8โ10 minutes until orzo is tender.
- Add broccoli florets and cooked chicken sausage back into the skillet. Cook for another 3โ4 minutes until broccoli is tender.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
