Baked Cream Cheese Chicken Taquitos are a delicious, cheesy twist on traditional taquitos. Filled with tender shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar, and spices, theyโre baked to crispy perfection for an easy, crowd-pleasing meal.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 10 small flour or corn tortillas
- Cooking spray or olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar, salsa, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spoon a portion of the mixture onto each tortilla and roll tightly.
- Place rolled taquitos seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly brush or spray with cooking spray/olive oil.
- Bake for 15โ20 minutes, turning halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole for dipping.
Notes
- Use small tortillas for easy rolling and crispier taquitos.
- For extra heat, add chopped jalapeรฑos or a pinch of chili powder.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheated in the oven for crispiness.
