Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; sautรฉ until softened.
- Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Add uncooked elbow macaroni and stir to combine.
- Pour mixture into a greased baking dish. Cover with foil and bake 25โ30 minutes, or until pasta is tender.
- Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top, and bake 5โ10 minutes more until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
- Optional: top with fresh parsley before serving for garnish.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
